Plainwell Dominates South Haven Invitational

The Plainwell High School Girl's Swimming and Diving Team easily won the South Haven Invitational on Saturday. The Trojans were led by 4 first place winners Lindsay Wiederhold and Mallory Comerford. Lindsay won both distance freestyle events as was a member of the victorious 200 and 400 Freestyle Relay Teams. Mallory won both the 100 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke events and was a member of the winning 200 Medley Relay and 400 Freestyle Relays. She also lowered her 100 Backstroke record she set last week to :59.44. The Trojans other individual winners included Cameron Monroe in the 1 meter diving and Blair Cornell in the 100 Breastroke. All 3 relay teams were winners as well. Teresa Thiel had a good meet placing 2nd in the 50 Freestyle and 100 Butterfly. Audrey VanderBoon picked up a pair of 3rd place finishes in the 50 Freestyle and 100 Backstroke. Megan VanderBoon placed 3rd in the 200 IM and 4th in the 100 Butterfly. Kim Jones placed 2nd in diving and Karlee Gauthier placed 4th in the 100 Breastroke for Plainwell's top finishes.

The Trojans are at the Albion Relays on Thursday.
